Ffynnon Fair is a luxury, self-contained barn in the small village of Eglwyswrw, close to the Preseli Hills and Pembrokeshire coast. It’s perfectly located midway between the two local towns of Newport (to the south) and Cardigan (to the north) on the A487, with the Preseli Hills right on your doorstep. Newport and Cardigan both offer lovely independent shops, cafés, pubs, and restaurants, while the Preseli Mountains - home to the famous Stonehenge bluestones - are perfect for hill walking and exploring.
Ffynnon Fair holiday cottage is a wonderfully converted barn featuring a charming, open-plan kitchen equipped with a cooking hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, and all the cooking utensils and cutlery you need for a perfect self-catering holiday. It also offers a lovely dining area, a cozy lounge with comfy sofas, and a wood-burning stove - perfect for those cooler evenings. Double doors lead out to a private, enclosed front garden with outdoor furniture, ideal for relaxing.
The bedroom at Ffynnon Fair is a spacious double room with a super king-size bed. It’s a well-appointed space with a modern wet room nearby, featuring a shower, a large bath, and a WC.
Your host, Nik, is a chef with extensive catering experience. Having owned and run restaurants in Chichester for 30 years, Nik moved to Pembrokeshire in 2020 and now runs a pop-up restaurant, The Frosted Bee at Tyddyn Castell - their house adjacent to the barn. Dining at the restaurant is by arrangement only, and there’s also the option to have delicious meals delivered to your cottage upon request.
Enjoy relaxing in beautiful surroundings, take a walk along one of the many trails through the Preseli Hills and woodlands, or head to the coast for a stroll along the breathtaking Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. The nearest beach, Newport Sands, is about six miles away, with many more hidden beaches waiting to be discovered along the stunning coastline.
