At The Pembrokeshire Holiday Company, we believe that rest and recovery should be accessible when it is needed most. Life can change suddenly, and during times of grief, illness, or crisis, a peaceful change of scenery can make a meaningful difference.

This year we are offering FREE Compassionate Breaks for three nights in one of our self-catering cottages during January, February & March 2026 to individuals and families facing exceptional circumstances. These breaks are designed to provide space, calm, and comfort in tranquil and beautiful surroundings, when everyday life feels overwhelming.

What Is a Compassionate Break?

A compassionate break is a short stay in one of our designated holiday cottages, offered with sensitivity and discretion to those experiencing acute hardship or distress. The aim is simple: to provide a safe, welcoming environment where guests can rest, reconnect, and regain strength.

Compassionate breaks may be offered in response to circumstances such as:

Bereavement of a close or immediate family member.
Serious illness, injury, or medical treatment affecting you or a loved one.
Sudden or unexpected caring responsibilities.
Household disruption due to emergencies such as fire, flood, or structural damage.
Other exceptional situations that significantly impact wellbeing.

Each application is considered carefully, fairly, and with respect for privacy.

If you or someone you care for is experiencing exceptional circumstances and would benefit from time away, we invite you to apply through our Compassionate Break Application Form. Each request is reviewed individually to ensure support is offered where it is most needed.
