Tan y Bryn cottage is full of character, warmth and luxury. From the moment you enter you’re greeted by an old Victorian half-glazed door and a wonderful mosaic tiled floor, and throughout the cottage you’ll find lots of original features have been kept during the restoration works. Enjoy exposed wood beams, wood floors, feature stone walls and lots of other unique features.
Tan y Bryn has 4 bedrooms and sleeps up to 10 people. On the first floor is Bedroom 1 - a beautiful and unique ensuite double bedroom, with exposed beams, stone and brick walls, and a wonderful freestanding bath in the corner of the room. On the second floor you’ll find bedrooms 2 & 3, both offering a set of bunk beds and a separate single bed. The family bathroom is also on this floor and offers a separate bath and shower cubicle. The Master Bedroom is found on the third floor and offers the most spectacular and large roof bedroom, with open stairs, exposed beams, ensuite shower room and distant sea views.
Living space and areas to relax in the company of family and friends are plentiful here. The fully equipped kitchen backs on to the dining area which features a large solid oak dining table with views out to the landscaped garden, access through sliding doors to the second living room, and patio doors to access outside. Both living rooms feature high quality furniture and some original solid wood items, they both also enjoy the warmth and comfort of a wood burning stove. If you want to completely relax and escape from it all, relax in the Snug, where you can enjoy the cosy wood burner, a good book or listen to some music within the stone walls.
Outside, in Tan y Bryn’s private and enclosed garden, you’ll find a two tier patio area with garden furniture, which step up onto the two tier garden area surrounded by ornamental trees and shrubs.
The cottage is conveniently located just off the main road through Newport centre. It is walking distance to the estuary and Parrog beach. 1 minute walk to the fabulous shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs that Newport offer, and just a short walk to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
