Large kitchen Bobbins holiday Cottage near Cenarth, in Llandysul

Weavers Cottage, Pentrecwrt, Llandysul – A tranquil woodland hideaway in the heart of the Teifi Valley.

Weavers Cottage is a charming countryside retreat tucked within peaceful woodland near the small village of Pentrecwrt, close to the well-known Cenarth Falls on the border of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. Once part of a historic woollen mill community that shaped this area of West Wales, the cottage has been carefully transformed into a comfortable and welcoming holiday home while still reflecting its heritage and rural surroundings. With woodland walks nearby and the beautiful River Teifi flowing through the valley, it offers a relaxing base from which to explore this scenic and unspoilt corner of Wales.

Inside, the cottage provides cosy single-storey accommodation designed for comfort and easy living. The living space offers a bright and relaxing setting where guests can unwind after a day outdoors, while the adjoining dining area creates a sociable place to sit together over meals, plan the next day’s adventures, or simply enjoy a quiet evening indoors.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, making it easy to prepare breakfasts before a day out or relaxed evening meals using locally sourced produce. A separate utility area adds extra convenience, offering space for outdoor clothing, walking boots, or beach gear after time spent exploring the countryside or nearby coastline.

Weavers Cottage can accommodate up to four guests across two bedrooms. The sleeping arrangements include a comfortable double bedroom and a second bedroom with bunk beds, making it particularly suitable for couples or small families. The modern shower room provides a refreshing place to start or end the day, with a contemporary hydro-massage steam shower adding a touch of indulgence.

Outside, guests can enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the shared courtyard and gardens that extend into the surrounding woodland. The gentle sounds of the nearby stream and the natural greenery create a wonderfully calm atmosphere where visitors can sit outdoors, relax with a book, or simply enjoy the quiet beauty of the countryside.

The cottage’s location makes it an excellent base for discovering the many attractions of West Wales. Cenarth Falls is just a short drive away and is famous for its striking cascades and seasonal salmon runs, while the River Teifi offers scenic riverside walks and opportunities to experience the area’s abundant wildlife. Within easy reach are the sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay and charming coastal villages, along with welcoming market towns offering independent shops, cafés, traditional pubs, and restaurants.

Whether you’re planning days by the coast, countryside walks through the Teifi Valley, or simply a peaceful break surrounded by nature, Weavers Cottage provides a comfortable and relaxing place to stay while exploring this beautiful part of Wales.
