Poppit Beach

Poppit Sands Beach is a must visit if you and your dog love a beach day with all the facilities.

Reasons to visit:

  • Large flat car park - 30 mins free, cheap rates after. Disabled spaces & EV chargers.

  • Toilets, water taps, outside shower (wash area), plenty of dog waste bins.

  • Crwst Café - Delicious food, drinks, ice-cream, snacks, dog treats, beach games & toys.

  • Large flat beach, dunes walks, river, views of Cardigan Island & Lifeguards (Summer).

Cardigan Wildlife Centre (Cilgerran)

Discover the wonders of Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve, home to kingfishers, otters, and diverse flora and fauna. Explore various habitats, enjoy a selection of walks, activities, and sample the delicious food at the Glasshouse Café for the perfect dog friendly day out in Pembrokeshire.

Reasons to visit:

  • Look out for the giant willow Otter marking the entrance.

  • Visitor Centre is just a short walk from the main visitor car park. With 2 routes through the woods or just head straight up the road.

  • Parking is just £4 for all-day parking with free entry to the reserve and visitor centre.

  • Male, female, and accessible toilets available.

  • Glasshouse Café and shop offers homemade and local food, cakes, gifts, clothing and ice cream.

  • Events program includes wildlife surveys and guided walks.

Carn Ingli Mountain Walk

North Pembrokeshire is home to the Preseli Hills and the famous bluestones. There’s so much of the Preseli’s to explore but we’ve picked out a fairly easy walk that offers beautiful panoramic views.

Reasons to visit:

  • Parking at Bedd Morris - Map

  • Footpath.

  • Easy/moderate going with no steep sections.

  • 1 hour 30 mins there and back. Option to make it a circular walk by dropping down into Newport.

  • Views from Carn Ingli - Map

  • Wild sheep and horses so dogs need to be kept on a lead.

  • Close to Newport Pembrokeshire and a great selection of Cafés & pubs.



Golden Lion (Dog Friendly Pub in Newport)

The Golden Lion Newport is a wonderful place to visit after a nice walk with your dog. They offer lunch time and evening meals, with dog friendly seating areas outside and in the bar area.


Newport Estuary Walk & Mor Awelon Café

The Newport estuary coast path is a lovely flat, fine gravel path that’s great for all ages and abilities. Take in the wildlife at the iron bridge before strolling the 1 mile walk to Parrog through woodland. Play on the beach and enjoy a nice cuppa at Mor Awelon Café before returning.

Reasons to visit:

  • Parking at the White Iron Bridge (Afon Nyfer - Nevern River)

  • Flat footpath - accessible footpath great for walker, dogs and wheels.

  • 2 miles and easy to follow.

  • Toilets in Parrog car park. Bins at both ends.

  • Beautiful river, estuary and sea views.

  • Paths up into Newport town, playground & skate park.

  • Mor Awelon - Dog friendly café and take away right on the sea front with indoor and outdoor seating.
