Berriman Cottage, Newport Pembrokeshire

Berriman Cottage is a lovely stone cottage in Newport, offering a cosy retreat for couples and small families. Berriman is tucked away just off a quiet side street, yet it's just a stone's throw from the centre of Newport. It has been lovingly renovated and refurbished to offer guests a comfortable and cosy stay, and it has kept many of the original features like exposed beams, sections of exposed stone walls and the inglenook fireplace, now with a wonderful wood burning stove.

Berriman Cottage has 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to 4 people. Both bedrooms are on the first floor. Bedroom 1 offers a unique king size bedroom with original wood features and exposed stone walls, a wonderful metal frame king size bed, drawers and a wardrobe. Bedroom 2 is a twin bedroom, again with original wood features, drawers and a wardrobe, plus a wooden armchair. The bathroom is also on the first floor and offers a separate bath and shower cubicle, toilet, wash hand basin and a heated towel radiator.

You enter Berriman Cottage into a delightful open plan living room featuring 2 lovely sofas, an armchair, a solid wood dining table for 6, a wood burning stove and a TV. From the living area you enter into the narrow yet very well equipped kitchen where you can enjoy the use of the large range cooker, with multiple gas hobs and electric ovens - it's perfect for full cooked breakfasts. There is also a microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.

Outside, Berriman Cottage has a fully slabbed, private terrace garden with garden furniture. It provides a couple of lovely places to sit and relax in a wonderful little hideaway surrounded by mature trees and shrubs. Although it’s a dog friendly holiday cottage and children are very welcome, the garden is not dog proof or child proof, so they must be supervised when outdoors.

The cottage is very conveniently located just off one of Newport's lovely little side streets. It's a 10 minute walk to Parrog, the estuary and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, and just a 1 minute walk to the fabulous shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs in the centre of Newport.

There is no parking at the property, but visitors are welcome to unload and drop off at the bottom of the drive. Parking is best in the public car park in Long Street which is a 5-minute walk from the property. Other street parking may be available in Parrog Road (5 minutes) and Market Street (3 minutes).
